Alonzo Mario Ricky James was the first born out out 8 siblings to the late Tolan Samuel and Mary James (Holland) of Brooklyn NY raised by his grandmother Queen Ester James. Alonzo was born April 21, 1958 in cumberland hospital in Brooklyn NY. He was born a handsome chunky baby. Nick name Ricky. Alonzo attended P.S.145, Junior high school 111. He then attended Eli Whitney High School. He was the baseball team and high honors society club. Ricky was also a baseball team lead outside of high school. Graduation class of 76. Alonzo was the first one in his family to attend and graduate college. Ricky attended technical college where he study n received a degree in electrical technology. He then went to State University where he received a Associate degree in Science and his A-1 Journey man card. While working at IBEW union local 3 and metro north. Alonzo what's the best when it came to wiring or hooking up things he worked various other jobs and also it's a big help in the community he was very smart funny caring genuine ingenuous he was also a true friend to those that know him and he will come more than a friend you will become family and 1977 allows them at the love of his life michell Watson who he had two beautiful daughters by Tamiko Nikia James of Norfolk Va and Chantrel Denice James of Brooklyn, NY. Two grandsons Ja'Den Alonzo James and Marquise Antonio James. Alonzo was so excited when he found out the arrival of his grandson having his name. He made sure to be there for 2nd grandson coming into the world. Ricky's the love sports especially baseball he like to dance he had a great sense of style  and he loved the laughs and he was a good cook and love to eat you can always catch a reading a good book he loves spending time with his daughters and his grandkids and very sister Vicky or talking about them. Alonzo had 2 favorite uncles Linwood James and Russell James. Russ as he called him! Russell use to attend all his ball games and took him to tap class. Ricky hated that tap class. Ricky followed behind his uncle russell and became an electrician an even better one then one. He had place in his heart for his one and only aunt the late Shirley Samuels she also attended all of his games and classes she was one of his biggest cheerleaders she also gave him to the nickname la dee da. Alonzo had two Special Friends the late Cherly hunter and Olivia Williams(toots) best friend the late fred. Alonzo Fort many fights and one knows fights on May 25th 2018 Alonso James Depart of life from lung cancer and received his wings he leaves to cherish behind his memories his siblings and half-siblings especially Vicki Samuels Christopher Samuels Erick Thomas( Teresa) of the Poconos Ilisa Thomas of Pennsylvania Irma Shields( herman) of Pennsylvania Vanessa Thomas-McBride (Sean McBride sr) of Long Island Mark Thomas of New York Tommy(junior) Thomas of New York Owen (Pouchie) Thomas. Godsister Delonda Demetris Davisa host of neieces and nephew and great neices and newphews, 2 God daughters Rochelle Watson and Violet Craft best friend Cecil Poster family and friends.
