Janice Carroll

Janice Carroll was born on November 20, 1954 to Minnie Carroll (deceased) and James Stroud (Jimmy) (deceased). Janice was the fifth child out of 11 children born to Minnie 7 boys and 4 girls. Growing up Janice was known to run behind her brothers and was somewhat of a tomboy.  She liked to play baseball, wrestle and do just about anything her brothers did.  Janice attended Julia Richman HS in NY.  Janice was known in her younger days to be a hairstylist.  Janice began attending The Little House of Prayer Pentecostal Church in Brooklyn under Bishop McKinley Green and Mother Hattie Green (godparents) in the early 1980’s. She introduced her family to the church and was very influential to the Carroll family having a known presence of God. 

Janice would occasionally work in construction.  She gave birth to Two Sons: Markieth (Mark) Carroll (deceased) and Cleon Carroll.  Three Daughters, Kezia Carroll, Natia (teetee) Carroll and Kashanda Carroll. Janice had a life partner Joyce Wade (deceased). She overcame many obstacles in her life and with the grace of God she made it through them all.  Janice was always willing to help family and friends.  She loved to dance and enjoy life. Janice and her brother Eddie (Sha), were known to tear the dance floor up, hands down. Janice was truly loved, and she gave so much love.

Janice leaves to cherish her memory: Four Children: Cleon, Kezia, Natia and Kashanda. One Daughter in law: Dawn Carroll. Two Nieces: who was like Daughters Velaine (Pinky) Lee and Felicia (Fee) Williams. Four Granddaughters: Cleonia, Kaleeya, Tyshanda and Amirah. Two Grandsons: Shiair and Tymel. Two Sisters: Joann (Candy) and Tammy (Kim). Three Brothers: James (Cookie), Eddie (Sha) and Mitchell. Janice leaves behind many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephew as well as many extended nieces and nephews. Good friends: Janice Register Diane Groom, and Monique Holland as well as so many other friends.
