Jerome Covington son of Elease Covington and Johnny Black was born December 26,1959 in Brooklyn, NY.
He attended South Shore High School and a few years later he attended Touro College and received his GED, AAS and his bachelor degree. He worked for the Water Department and ACS for many years, until he became sick.
Jerome was a very funny, well known lovable guy. Jerome had a love for music playing the bass guitar and doing different gigs around the city, with his band. As well as occasionally joining other bands. Jerome loved music so much that he would play "Jam Sessions "at his house until wee hours of the morning, he was an excellent musician.
Jerome was a pal, a sponsor, a sponsee and a good friend. He had a wonderful support group. He strayed a little "left during a hard period in his life it was there that he found a 12-step program & the Love of the fellowship. Jerome had 22 years clean & Sober.
Jerome is survived by his Mother: Elease Covington, His two Sisters: Desora Covington (Arthur) and Anna “DD” Covington-Turner (Dave Turner). Best Friends: Deirdre Lindsay, Dolly Anthony & Doris. A host of Nieces, Nephews and Friends.
