Lanique Rios - Coaxum

Lanique Aaliyah Lexis Rios Coaxum known as Nique was born December 5, 1996 to William Coaxum and Ana Catalina Rios at Long Island College Hospital in Brooklyn, New York.

At the early age of 21, she had her calling on May 18, 2018 to be at peace.

On her mother’s side she was the middle child of three girls, while on her father’s side she was one of five children. She attended New York City Public school as well as John Jay High School. Lanique then went on to a trade school.

Throughout her life she was the life of the party, just like her mother. She was always willing to come out and party anywhere no matter what. If you really knew the real Nique you’d know that she was meant to be a masseuse. She could rub any soreness away, that’s how good she was. She also loved to dance. She danced anytime, anywhere and to any song that came on. She was fun and outgoing.

She has done lots of good but was still taken too soon. She will forever be remembered for sitting to close to the tv as well as her kind heart and brighter smile. Even though her last days were spent recovering from a tragic incident she was still the same Nique. The Nique who cracked jokes on everybody and tell them off if needed. She will be missed by many.

Lanique leaves behind to mourn her Grandmother: Anna Ramirez, Father: William, her Sisters: Catalina, Najanique, and Chynna, her Brothers: William Jr. and Jahlil. Her Uncles: Jose, Hector (Shavon), and Sammy (Simone), her Niece: Rialina and many Cousins, Family and Friends.

She resides now with her mother Ana and her late sister Janei.
