Larry Donell Keene

Larry Donell Keane was born July 7, 1959 to the late Charles Lee and Nora Lee Keene. He was the sixth child out of 10 children. Larry was preceded in death by his siblings: Sandra Randolph, Bernard Keene and Tyrone Keene.

Larry leaves to mourn and cherishes memories his Siblings: Joyce Hatter (Joy), Charles Keene (Bo), Deborah Keene (Derb) of Brooklyn, NY, Kim Keene of Bronx, NY, Teresa Keen (T) of Brooklyn, NY Eileen Keene (E) of New Jersey; Step Brothers: Melvin Keene of Pennsylvania, Leonard Davenport of Brooklyn; Ex-Wife: Michelle Keene; Children: Yolanda (Peaches), Allen, Tosha, Ashley, David, Heaven, Kimberly (Kimbo), Larry (Half-Pint), Peter; Six Grandchildren, Brother-in-Law: Leonard Hatter of Brooklyn; Sister in Law: Joyce Keene of South Carolina; Aunts: Paisley Keene, Lillian Keene of Virginia; and Uncles. Host of Nieces and Nephews, Great-Nieces and Great-Nephews and cousins. Special friend Kim Yuille, Danny of Strauss Street; Marvel Hargrove, Ms. Pat of Sackman Street.

Larry was educated in the New York City Public Schools in Brooklyn, New York. He was known as the “Mayor of Strauss Street”. He was also the handyman “If you wanted something done or to need someone to run errands, he was your guy. He was a dry cleaners presser for years.

Larry loved music, he danced all the time, always snapping his fingers. He would rather have a radio than a cell phone on any given day.

Larry had a saying when he greeted anyone especially the children “Watch your Mouth”.

Larry walked everywhere all the time no matter the distance.  He made everyone laugh all the time...and he had a heart of gold.  He would let everyone know that he loved his family.

His family will love and miss him too!.
