Charisma “Rizzy” Smith was born September 23, 1986 in Brooklyn, New York at Saint John’s Hospital to the late Angela Smith and Lewis Milan. Charisma departed from us on Friday January 24, 2020 at Brookdale Hospital Medical Center.
Charisma received her k-6th grade education from Public School 309 and Junior High School education at M.S. 324. Charisma started her high school education at Boys & Girls high school but she discontinued her high school education to focus on her health.
She was preceded in death by her mother Angela Smith, father Lewis Milan, maternal grandmother Carol Smith, maternal grandfather Ronald “Ronnie” William, great grandmother Louise Brown, great aunts Florence Brown, Lois “Jeanie” Brown, Peggy Ann Taylor and Marie Lacey, great uncles Bobby Brown and Howard Brown.
Although charisma loved her mother and father with all of her heart, she was a grandmother’s little girl, she was spoiled rotten by her grandmother, Carol Smith. She also loved her big brother Antione “Big Lou” very dearly; they were two peas in a pod. Her son Khaliq was her pride & joy; he was her whole world & heart; she would always say “Khaliq over everything”. Charisma was a loving, devoted and overprotective mother, a caring, kind and understanding sister, cousin, niece and friend who we all will miss. Rizzy LOVED to eat and cook any & everything but was never ashamed about it. She would happily say “I love to eat and/or I love food”. She loved cracking jokes on people no matter who you were. If you came for her, you better believe she was going to ROAST or FLAME you. Rizzy was all about having fun, laughter and living life. She had a unique laugh that we all will never forget and will keep in our memories forever. As her brother big Lou described her, she was a bundle of joy that we all are going to miss being around.
She leaves to cherish her memory: her son Khaliq Smith, her brother Antione Smith, her great uncles Ronald and William Brown, her god daughter Jayla St. Louis, her significant other Calvin Phillip, best friends Shamina Edwards a.k.a Bert and Jessica Harris a.k.a freeway and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
