Obituary

Donnett Frances Bennett, age 77, passed away on January 28th 2019 in Queens, NY

She was born on August 24, 1941 in Jamaica to Asmond Bennett and Inez Boothe. She was raised in Jamaica until she migrated to America in the 1970s.  Donnett spent years raising her four children George, Yvette, Jack (deceased) and Donna.

Donnett was a dedicated and hard worker.  She worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant for many years before retiring. She was very kind hearted and known for her great sense of humor. As a loving mother, she was blessed with a green thumb spending  hours in her garden growing vegetables and flowers.

She was very proud of her family and was excited to be in their company. Any chance to spend time with family was important to her especially during the holidays where she would spend hours cooking and prepping.

She is survived by her grandchildren Svette, Natasha, Nyree (deceased), Christina, Anthony, Shadea, Denise, Kelechi, and Nasir  She also leaves behind her great grandchildren Clarence, Ian, Ryan, and Nkechi. She loved her siblings Joyce, Patricia (deceased), Dervon (deceased), Erica, Lloyd, James, and Vivian.  Thus she was also known affectionately as Aunt D and Grams to our beloved extended members of the family.

Donnett will be missed by all that knew and loved her. Heaven has gained another Angel.
