Kirk Bormer

Kirk Terrance Bomer was called home on May 31, 2018.  He was born to the late Alvin Bomer and Helen Tucker on May 9, 1961.

Kirk attended P.S. 183. J.H.S. Somers 252, and South Shore High School in Brooklyn, NY. 

Kirk’s interests in football began with Pee Wee Little League Football in Brooklyn, NY.  He continued to play football while in High School for one of the best High School Teams in Brooklyn (South Shore HS) as a Tight-End.  After High School Kirk, briefly stayed with the U.S. Army.

Thereafter, Kirk worked as a Security Guard for Delta Airlines, but he had to stop working due to health reasons.  Kirk also loved to go bowling, he would go bowling every Thursday with his coworkers and Best Friend Regina Taylor and her family.

Kirk met his first wife Gwendolyn Thomas in 1990.  They were married June 2003.  Gwen proceeded Kirk in death in 2007.  

Soon after, he was blessed to have been joined with the love of his life Lisa Dixon. With whom he lived with until his call to glory.

Kirk leaves to mourn One sister: Tiffany Henderson of Charleston of South Carolina. Her Husband: John; His Godmother (who raised Kirk and Tiffany): Vivian Shipman; Stepson: Thomas; and Three Children has raised as his own: Shirome, Shilesha & Shilah; One Niece: Tianna Cabe of Charleston, South Carolina. Two Nephews: Raeshawn Holmes of Queens, New York; Patrick Cabe of Queens, New York. One Aunt: Dorothy De’Berry of Ocilla, Georgia and the love of his life: Lisa Dixon and host of cousin and friends who love and miss him dearly.
