Maribel Taylor, 48 years old, passed away from this life the morning of May 11th, 2020 in Brooklyn, NY. Born June 23rd, 1972 in Fort Greene, Brooklyn to Elba Hernandez and Filipe Luis Cordero. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, niece, cousin and friend. Maribel is survived by her husband, Max Taylor; father, Felipe Luis Cordero; children, Matthew O’Garro, Donovan Mendoza, Patrick Mendoza, Christian Mendoza, Max Taylor, Chloe Taylor and Kayla Taylor; grandchildren, Allison, Roman, PJ and Mason; sisters, Minerva Hernandez and Miriam Hernandez; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She joins her mother, Elba Hernandez and her brothers; Irvin Hernandez, Eddie Hernandez, Freddie Hernandez and Angel Cordero.

She was blessed with a large and loving family and was surrounded with love and happiness in the final moments of her life.  She was looked to for comfort; through her cooking, great advice, hugs and phone calls. Always there to listen with an open heart. She held the family together with her family dinners and get togethers. She loved cooking, making jokes and dancing freestyle but most of all loved spending time with her family. She loved her family. She always spoke highly of her children and grandchildren who she raised with pride. Always being strong, pushing them to be the best versions of themselves and always being there no matter the circumstances.

Maribel was a wonderful example of joy. She was fun, loving, smart, caring, admirable, funny, nurturing, passionate.  She was a legend and a Queen.
