Rose Johnson was born May 3, 1933 to the late Blondie Dunn and Walter Johnson in Raleigh, North Carolina.
Rose received her education in Raleigh and later migrated to New York in 1953. She was a homemaker who loved her children dearly and love to cook until her health began to fail. All that came in contact and knew her loved her much, she always made others feel welcome.
Rose’s brother Walter Johnson Jr. and her son Carlton Locklear preceded her in death. Rose was called from labor to reward on July 28, 2018, after a long illness she leaves to mourn her Sons: Barry Locklear (Brooklyn), Alfonso Johnson (Bronx), and Anthony Johnson (Queens). One Daughter: Robin Johnson (Monticello). Two Brothers: James Johnson (Loretta) of Brooklyn, NY and Larry Johnson from Raleigh North Carolina, Four Sisters: Willie Mae Leather, Mary Dublin (Danny), Earline Smith and Faye Watson. Seven Grand-Children, Nine Great-Grands and a host of nieces, nephew, relatives and friends.
