Winnifred Ann Bunn

Winifred Ann Bunn was born in Brooklyn, NY on November 7, 1950 to the late Anna Henrietta Bunn and Wilfred Bunn.   Affectionately known to her family and friends as Winnie, she received her formal education in the NYC Public School System.

Winnie touched many lives and was loved by all whom she met.   Winnie truly loved life enjoying the simple pleasures to the fullest and thrived while playing a 2nd mom and dad to David, Dwayne, India and baby sister Maureen.   In her later years Winnie moved to Virginia Beach and met her significant other for 23 years Eugene Miles.   Winnie loved to watch classic movies, classic tv shows and listening to music.

Winifred departed this life on September 16, 2020 she is predeceased by her parents and 2 sisters Arlene Whittaker and Barbera Hinton.  

Winnie leaves to cherish her memory sisters Gloria Hailey and Maureen Bunn.   Nieces Debra Simpson, Joanne Dew, Theresa Bunn-Robinson, Francine Hailey-Ferrell, Sharon Hinton and India Bunn.   Nephews Gilbert Bunn, Anthony Whittaker, Joe Hinton, David Bunn, Dwayne Bunn and Great nephew Lamari better known as Munchkin.   All of whom will forever remember Winnie’s famous line, “I am the aunt here!” Also left to mourn are cousin Andrew Negron.   Significant other Eugene Miles.   Step daughter Tamla Albritton.   God children Sherrell and Brian McCats and a host of other relatives and friends.
